RUMAH DR. MAHATHIR
This is the birth house of Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. It is
open to visitors from 9:00AM to 6:00PM daily during weekdays

BALAI NOBAT
Balai Nobat was built in 1907 during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah.
Today it stores all the "nobat" musical instruments and only used at royal ceremonies
(ie. royal weddings, crowning, death, etc)

MASJID NEGERI
Also known as Masjid Zahir, this mosque is another significant
landmark in Alor Setar and one of the most charming mosques in Malaysia. Built using
unique Moorish architecture, the five domes depicts the five pillars of Islam.

PEKAN RABU
Pekan Rabu is were one would be able to find anything from crafts to food items. Dr.
Mahathir was once a trader in this complex.
